parag make water ring vacuum pump

water ring or liquid ring vacuum pump are designed for lower vacuum air suction. a typical range of its vacuum is 680 to 720 mm of Hg.

The good feature of this pump is , as there is water rotating in the pump , it can withstand heavy vapour or steam as its input , or highly moisture content air.
Also , sealing is created by water and not by sprint supported blades, it can also accommodate certain amount of dust with it too.

This type of pump primarily used in filteration or where lower amount of vacuum is required. another application of such pump is in distillation , where the matrial to be distilled contain large amount of water. in such cases, water ring vacuum pump can be used along with oil seal vacuum pump in parallel and run alternatively to create desired vacuum condition.

Water ring vacuum pump are also available in close couple water ring vacuum pump design.

contact parag engineering for oil seal vacuum pump

accessories available with parag make oil seal high vacuum pump

Accessories:

Air Ballast:
This is a vent pipe introducing air before actual compression which eliminates condensation of the sucked vapour, there by avoiding contamination of oil.

Air Admittance Valve:
It is electromagnetic solenoid type which admits air into the system as soon as the power supply fails. This prevents back-flow of oil to the system.

Non-Return Valve:
It is rubber diaphragm type, spring loaded valve, which prevents back-flow of oil to the system as soon as pump stops. These can not be used to hodl the vacuum in the system for longer period.
Moisture Trap, Inlet Dust Filter, Vacuum Gauge with Regulator, Trolly for small Pumps.
USE Oil: ENCLO - 46 (HP) SAE - 30 or Equivalent Vacuum Oil.
Model HL - 300 - II and above, are provided with water cooling jacket.
Vacuum Measured Mcleod gauge at suction port of the pump.

operating principle , liquid ring vacuum pump

Operating Principle:
The working parts of the Parag Pumps consist of a multi-vane impeller mounted eccentrically in a round casing which is partly filled with liquid (usually water).
As the impeller rotate the liquid is thrown by centrifugal force to from a liquid ring which is connector with the periphery of the casing.
Due to the eccentric position of the impeller relative to the casing and liquid ring the spaces between the impeller vanes fill with liquid during rotation and any air or gas trapped in the impeller space or cell is compressed and discharged from the casing through the outlet part leaving the cell available to receive air or gas as it is presented to the inlet port of the casing.
In addition to being the compressing medium the liquid ring performs three other important functions. It absorbs the heat generated by compression and friction.

features of parag make water ring vacuum pump

Features of water ring vacuum pumps:

Entrained liquid drops, Condensable vapours or occasional slugs of liquid can be handled without damage to the pump or significant effect on capacity. In the case of vapours, the pump can also serve as a condenser.

No lubricant or oil is required within the pump itself. Thus the air or other discharge gases are not contaminated. The liquid which forms the ring (usually water) serves both as a sealant and a pumping media.

A wide selection of materials and seal liquids can be used when corrosive gases and vapours are being pumped.

The pumps contain no metal parts that rub against each other. Packing glands and bearings are accessible from the outside. There is no clearance volume and the pumping action is smooth and uniform (non-pulsating).

The only moving part is a balanced impeller which reduces noise and vibration. This means lower foundation, installation and service costs.

The pump can be provided with partial liquid recycle, closed loop liquid operation, automatic control and other features.

Mechanical seals can be provided as an option.
Small entrained solid will pass through the pump. However, abrasive particles will result in reduced pump life.

Each pump is performance tested prior to shipment.
